Recipe: Three Bean & Pasta Soup (Oil-Free, Plant-Based, Vegan)

Today’s recipe is a pretty simple soup that is a few years in the making for us. Back in December 2019, we were visiting Nottingham, and you know we LOVE to hit up all the grocery stores when we travel. Brian found a spice blend at Asda and loved it so much that we had to get an extra bottle to take home. He made this soup when we got back and quickly realized that he would need to create a similar spice blend of his own! Continue reading

Recipe: Brian’s Vegan Jambalaya Soup (Oil-Free, Plant-Based)

Brian has family in New Orleans and he grew up eating lots of Cajun food, so when we switched to a plant-based diet, it was one of the first things he tried to “convert” to our new lifestyle. He made his Quick Red Beans & Riced Veggies, which is still a staple of his diet, along with a really tasty Jambalaya Soup. We kept mentioning the Jambalaya in random videos, and we’ve had a LOT of requests to put out a video on it. Continue reading

Recipe: Brian’s NEW Awesome Weird Vegan Chili (Plant-Based, Oil-Free)

Well, Brian has done it again! He’s been experimenting in the kitchen a lot lately (especially with soups and stews) and he came up with what is now my favorite thing he’s ever made. If you’ve tried Brian’s “Super Tasty Vegan Chili,” you already know that he knocked it out of the park with that one. But I think this one might be even better! Continue reading

Mystery Box Cooking Challenge: Soy Curls, Carrot Spirals, Peanut Butter & More (Plant-Based)

We’re back with another mystery box challenge! If you remember last time, I gave Brian a bunch of pantry staples to use. This time, the entire pantry, fridge and freezer was fair game, so I picked several things that I thought might work well together… but tried not to make it TOO easy on him! I love these challenges because they really push him to come up with creative combinations he might not have thought of before. Continue reading

Whole Foods Grocery Haul: Our Top Ten Favorite Products (Plant-Based, Vegan)

I’ll admit that I did not really shop at Whole Foods before we switched to following a whole food, plant-based diet. I always assumed it was just a little bit too “trendy” and expensive for my taste. After finally giving it a fair shot, I realized that while there are a lot of overpriced “fancy” products, they also have a TON of really affordable products. Continue reading
